We Fight.
An external stone craftsman once came to our atelier with an exceptional reputation. As he began cutting a marble slab for a dining table, one of our workshop carpenters physically stopped him: “Idhar aisa kaam nahi hota hai.” (“We don’t work like this here.”)
When a creative head enforces standards, it is simply oversight. But it is an entirely different metric of excellence when that conviction is fiercely guarded by the makers themselves.
It is remarkably easy to slip into the transactional attitude of “Itne mein itna hi milega.” It is easy to ignore small flaws and say it isn't your problem. We choose the harder path. We invite friction across departments because every debate serves the final object.
Culture isn't corporate rhetoric; it is being honest with the material, holding each other accountable on the floor, and realizing that defending the standard is never personal; it is the entire point.
